Parkside Towbars have always provided great service and professionalism to their local customers from their 3 stores in Perth, Western Australia. Parallel to this, their online presence has grown steadily since their website was launched (2017) enabling them to gain customers right across Australia.
Recently, we worked with them to improve key areas of their site without having to rebuild it completely. The following are just a few of the improvements:
- New navigation structure
The Mega Menu was removed and replaced with a product category menu (making the top level products more accessible on first click)
- Interface re-skin
Introduction of 'Quick Links' icons and the repositioning and simplification of the search field
- New and improved homepage hero slider
Improved the homepage slider by: making it larger and full-width, introduced headings, text and a button (link) to improve SEO, added animation to the elements
- Product feature slider
Compressed featured products into a slider which reduces scroll and puts the focus on key products
- Improved SEO text areas
Additional SEO text areas added further down the Homepage to enhance secondary featured items
- Store locations moved to the homepage
Parkside has built up some impressive feedback from customers using Google's online rating system, moving the store locations (viewed on a Google Map) to the homepage puts this feedback front and centre
- Partner Logos introduced to Homepage
New self-managed slider which animates logos horizontally across the base of the page, this replaces the old static grid of logos
- Rationalisation of the footer content
Reshuffle of the links to key pages
Through these improvements, Parkside can continue to grow online without having to build a new website. Taking advantage of their technical platform (StreamSWEET), CMS functionality, and proven admin system, they have revitalised their e-commerce website.
