The Trojan website was launched by Stream Interactive five years ago, enabling the business to operate online and sell its products B2B and B2C. Although the site still performs this function well, the time had come to give the design a refresh. This was done by upgrading several key pages that are crucial to making the shopping experience a better one.
Key areas of focus:
- Design - brand refresh
- Introducing a simplified search
- Catalogue rationalisation
- Product details upgrade
- SEO upgrade (including custom 404)
- Updated homepage (with redesigned product feature sliders)
- Breadcrumbs sub-navigation
- New product images
- Store locator map enhanced for mobile viewing
Since the launch of the revamped site we’ve seen a steady increase in the number of searches undertaken by users. We've also seen an increase in visits to the store locator and an overall gain in sales figures for the first few months.
SEO continues to be a strong point for the site, helping to deliver quality traffic to the site. Bounce rates are very low and session times sit in the very respectable 3-4 minute range.
This is a good example of prolonging an existing site (which in web-terms was nearing its use-by date) and utilising the SHOP platform to give it a new lease of life.
