What is CPD?
Continuing professional development (CPD, or PD) is the ongoing process of developing, maintaining and documenting your professional skills.
CPD encompasses a wide variety of training and learning types, planning, goal setting, reporting and reflection. It can be self-led or directed in a more formal way from an organisation, employer or CPD content provider. For many its a lifelong process that is integral to ones professional career.

Many governing bodies make CPD mandatory for their members. As an organisation that represents a professional sector, whether it be architecture, accounting, education, nursing, or whatever, keeping everyone up to date with the latest standards and knowledge, enhances the profession overall.
